Hint -- Getting all the Dye Out

When knitting with any space-dyed yarn, there will probably be leftover dye in your yarn. You will want to get this out before you block it. Put 5 or 6 Shout Color Catcher Sheets found in the laundry aisle of the grocery store to absorb the dye that floats loose. Repeat the rinse process with fresh dye sheets in each successive wash cycle until the dye magnet sheets remain white. At this point there is no longer any loose dye left.

Aren't those little sheets just about the most amazing things invented????
Do thes only have the color catcher in them or do they have fabric softener and scent like the regular kind? I'm REALLY allergic to fabric softener sheets.
no fabric softener. There is some scent, which annoys me, as I have fierce allergies to that, but it washes out and doesn't attach to the shawl. I've called the company and asked for an unscented version. I think we need to have many people do it!
