I did it!

Hurrah! Frustration has ended. I am now through chart A with no mishaps. I decided to use a basic fingering yarn and size 7 needles so I could easily see the pattern as I finally got the hang of following the chart. Once I am confidant in what I am doing, I will start over with a lace yarn and smaller needles. Thanks, Margaret, for your help and encouragement.

Hi Nan,

Thanks for the support. I am halfway through Chart B and can't put it down! I am having more fun than I ever expected and the frustration has all fallen away. I dug out several other patterns with charts and am going to give them all a try. I know this sounds trite, but it was just like a light bulb went on in my head. When I am done with my first Chart B I will try to post a picture. Glad you are having fun, too.

Sue and Nan, so glad you are having fun. I have knitted a few rows this evening and will probably get through Chart B. For sure, will lace in another lifeline. Hopefully, I will have a picture to show tomorrow.
